The University of North Texas College of Public Affairs and Health Sciences (PAHS) has named new interim leadership for the Kristin Farmer Autism Center (KFAC), positioning the center for continued growth and innovation.
Dr. Karen Rader Toussaint, associate professor and chair of the Department of Behavior Analysis, has been appointed interim executive director. Dr. Samantha Bergmann, associate professor in the department, will serve as interim clinical director.
Together, they bring extensive expertise in applied behavior analysis, clinical service delivery and behavioral research. Their leadership further strengthens the connection between KFAC and the Department of Behavior Analysis—a nationally recognized program known for rigorous scientific training and high-quality clinical preparation of future behavior analysts—while advancing collaboration across disciplines within the college.
KFAC serves approximately 100 children and families each year, delivering more than 52,000 hours of direct clinical services annually. The center combines evidence-based care with hands-on training and a commitment to individualized, compassionate support, while continuing to expand interdisciplinary partnerships to better serve communities across North Texas.
Under this leadership team, KFAC is well-positioned to deepen its impact and broaden its reach in the years ahead.
