| Same Day Appointments | 15-minute advising session, virtually or in-person | Best for briefly addressing issues during registration periods and at the end of Fall/Spring semesters. This helps students to complete registration or address academic progress and understand academic status. |
| Scheduled Appointments (Recommended) | 30-minute advising session, virtually or in-person | Best for discussing academic and career goals, planning and reviewing academic requirements, preparing for course registration, evaluating coursework, creating and tracking graduation plans via the Online degree audit system for timely graduation, discussing potential academic challenges and reviewing campus resources. |
| Freshman & New Student Orientation | Varies | A program designed to help students become acclimated to the University. During orientation, you will have the chance to meet with faculty and staff, meet your new classmates, connect with current students, learn about university resources, and receive academic advising in preparation for registering for classes. |
When & how can I meet with a PAHS advisor?
PAHS students can schedule with any advisor.
Use Navigate or contact the advising office via email or by calling 940-565-4115 for assistance with scheduling.
Spring 2026 Weekly Drop-In Advising*
Open to all PAHS students, must attend in-person (CHIL 112).
Every Friday from 9:00-11:30 a.m. & 1:30-4:00 p.m.
Not offered during Spring Break (Mar. 13) and Finals Week (May 8).
Students are seen on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
Summer/Fall Registration Drop-In Advising*
Based on classification, see “When Can I Register?”
In-person (CHIL 112) from 9:00-11:30 a.m. & 1:30-4:00 p.m.
- Monday, March 16: Honors/Athletes
- Thursday, March 19: Seniors
- Thursday, March 26: Juniors
- Thursday, April 2: Sophomores
- Thursday, April 9: Freshmen
Students are seen on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
*Drop-In Advising is kept to 15 minutes and is best for “quick questions” or singular tasks, like scheduling questions for next semester. Please schedule a full appointment for more in-depth planning or if you require a virtual option. Please be aware that our regular hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. We try to get back to you within one working day, but please be patient during this busy time!
REMINDER: All students in their first semester at UNT, as well as students who are on academic alert or probation, are required to meet with an advisor prior to registration. Incoming first-time-in-college and transfer students must attend orientation to meet with an advisor and register for courses.
Who is my PAHS academic advisor? You choose…seriously. We have a great PAHS Advising team to help you. Students can choose to schedule appointments based on availability or look for a time with a specific advisor. We are also in the process of hiring more advising staff to help you. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
