About
Madalyn “Maddie” Worley, LMSW, is a Lecturer in the University of North Texas Department of Social Work. She brings more than a decade of social work experience to the classroom, with a professional background in school-based social work, child and family services, crisis intervention, mental health education, nonprofit leadership, community engagement, and organizational wellness.
At UNT, Worley teaches undergraduate social work curriculum. Her teaching emphasizes
applied learning and helps students connect social work theory, ethics, systems thinking,
and policy to the realities of professional practice.
Her professional interests include macro social work, mental health and wellness,
workplace and organizational well-being, crisis intervention and suicide prevention,
school-based social work, and community engagement. She is a certified Adult and Youth
Mental Health First Aid Instructor and regularly provides training and education to
professionals, organizations, schools, and community groups.
Worley earned her MSW from the University of Texas at Arlington and BSW from Baylor
University.
When I was a kid I lived in Costa Rica and Guatemala. I love playing and building things with Legos and love talking about my pets.
